Highly recommended place to stay. Really close to the beach, the hotel is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. But the highlight has to be the staff. So warm and friendly, we didn't want to leave. Send our best to Babu!

the place has really large rooms that are clean and well maintained. The bathroom is clean and ok but nothing greta about it. the only problem is the mosquitoes... we killed quite a few and then could sleep in the peace. i was told its teh season for them in dec and jan. he does provide a mosquito net but if you are a family with a child then the one sleeping down is in for trouble. So we killed the mosquitoes, put on odomos, switched the AC on and put a blanket over us and slept. I guess entire mahabalipurum had mosquitos when we went. The breakfast service by the man who doubles up as your receptionist is A grade. he also tries his best to take care of you and he got us taxis far cheaper by arranging one that was going on an empty return trip. Hotel Daphne is a pretty good, neat and cozy hotel in the best location in Mahabalipuram. All the major attractions like Shore temple, Krishna's Butterball, Arjuna's penance etc. are walking distance from this hotel. Its actually more of a home stay than a hotel. I stayed there for a day with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Pros - 1. Great Location. No doubts about it. You could just walk to all the major attractions and we even took a leisurely night stroll after dinner and it was very nice and safe 2. The hotel is like a home stay and its got a lot of plants, stairways etc. which provide a beautiful ambiance to the place. Feels other-wordly 3. The price is just unbeatable. I booked a Non-AC Standard Room for INR 850 from GoIbibo.com. Very good deal 4. Swings and hammocks are strewn around the hotel. The kids had a gala time. :-) Cons - 1. The Parking of the Hotel is about 100 meters from the Hotel itself and its actually in a open ground, which had turned muddy due to the rain when we went there 2. No complimentary breakfast :-( But it was okay for us, because we got to taste the other food outiside 3. No TV. This can be a Pro depending on how you view it. For us, it was okay, because we hardly stayed in the room Overall, its a great hotel for the price which we paid. Could not have asked for more.

Un hôtel très charmant, avec une jolie décoration et un jardin végétal, idéalement situé dans une petite rue de Fisherman Colony, tout près de la plage et des sites majeurs. Les chambres avec AC (1700 roupies) sont d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix: propres, confortables et spacieuses, avec en plus un petit balcon. Les non-climatisées sont autour de 900 roupies. Il y a un espace pour étendre son linge sur le roof-top. Le "restaurant" a une carte plutôt limitée, pas très originale et un peu chère par rapport aux prix normaux (mais toujours moins cher que les restaurants voisins), et je n'ai quasiment pas vu de clients y manger. Mais ce n'est pas un problème vue l'offre de restaurants dans le coin. Le personnel est plutôt sympathique et arrangeant, notamment si vous cherchez un taxi à partager avec d'autres clients.

抵達 mamallapuram 之後，才發現剛好碰上國定假日，又是 long weekend，全城爆滿，幾乎找不到住宿，後來走到海邊小巷的盡頭，發現了這家小民宿。就在海邊，所以景觀很不錯，而且非常寧靜。可惜房間設備非常簡陋，只有風扇房，時值酷暑，晚上就算開了電風扇，還是難以入眠，而且蚊子很多，沒有提供 wi-fi。我們的房間沒熱水，還好管理員很熱心，打了一桶熱水給我，旅程最後一天終於可以好好洗個熱水澡。短暫停留還算 OK
